Back Story: "All Love Could End " Every love will have an ending point. Love can make a person feel happy and warm but at the same time, it will bring pain and sadness to the one we loved or the ones that love us. While the time flows and reached the end, the love that we receive or gave will gradually disappear into the endless dark, cold ocean. As the love fade, the person's heart dies and all that will be left is a pale lost heart and scars that are marked deep inside the person's heart.

When I first saw this image, it makes me feel "That's life...." the lady in the image facing back at the camera and looking forwards the plain white wall, like she was playing back footage of the beautiful memories that she have spend before and that footage had reminded her that she has already grown up. She knew that isn't any way to turn back time and that's life. Hence, the word that I used in my design is "LIFE" with the typeface ITC Garamond Std- Book Condensed.

I had once dreamt of being a grand piano maker one day because I believe that making an instrument is like creating a new soul, when a musician plays a piece on an instrument, it gives a brand new life to the music. Therefore, I decided to design a key artwork that related to music and grand piano.

Font Name:  After Life

The reason I named them AfterLife is because in the period of Ancient Egypt they believe that although a person had died their soul will remain to live around in a different dimension, they also believe that the souls of the dead received another chance to live will return to the body and live for the entity. Therefore, in my opinion, although there are tons of Egyptian typeface design, every design have a second chance to be reborn with the help of others that identify the problem and make a solution to redesign the typeface again.

REFLECTION

Experience
This semester has been a rollercoaster ride for me through all the difficulties I have faced. Although this semester has been easier than the first, it has also been challenging because the intensity has increased and the amount of work has doubled in comparison. Having said that, this term has been a lot freer and I have been able to use my imagination to do the best I can with my homework. I felt a little confused at the start of my first project, probably because it was the start of a new term, but I soon got my bearings. If I were to describe each Task, the first task would be confusing and overwhelming, the second task would be exciting and nerve-wracking, and the third task would be tiring but happy and full of achievement.

Observation
During this semester, I have not only absorbed new knowledge and skills, but I have also learnt that sometimes the lecture's evaluation of our designs is also a way to learn communication skills and a way to think for myself. We can't always rely on our lectures' solutions to solve our own problems, but sometimes we need to have our own opinions and perspectives to think about our own problems at the moment. I remember Mr Vinod saying that whether we choose the right answer or the wrong answer we are still learning, we have to look at it from different levels and perspectives, it doesn't matter if we are right or wrong, what matters is what we learn from it and what we understand.

Findings
I think I learned a lot from it this semester. Both the improvement in communication and the improvement in schoolwork are precious to me. From the beginning of this semester to the end of this semester, the biggest change for me is the change in my attitude. I began to accept the criticism of my schoolwork gradually, instead of being sad and depressed, I accepted it humbly. For example, in the second task, when my design was not favored and was questioned, I humbly accepted it, but at the same time, my competitive spirit was kindled to do it well.
