LECTURE

Week 1: Briefing
A warm welcome from Mr Razif to all new and returning students. In the first class, he briefly explains the project's requirements and expectations that we will go through throughout the whole semester. Besides that, Mr Razif also shows us some examples of previous students' work to let us know a rough idea of what we are doing in this module.

Task 1/ Exercises

Week 1
In the first week, we were assigned to think of at least 3 ideas for our Augmented Reality (AR) project.

First Idea

Topic: Music learning

Rationale:

My first idea is a problem that happened based on people around me and my own experience during the process of learning an instrument example: the Piano. The issue that in this process is it's hard for us to know which key next to play on while learning a new piece. In addition, as said that in this era we live in, had to focus to learn more and fast to fit the basic requirement of this society. So, on the other hand, it is also a faster way for newbies to learn or pick up an instrument faster. To make it happen upload the pieces that we are willing to learn and then focus the phone on the instrument, it will show the basic information of that particular piece, like the story of the music or the history of the musician and how the piece will start off.

Second Idea:

Topic: Fashion paring

Rationale:

Online shopping had become one of the easiest ways to purchase clothes during the past few years because of the pandemic. As it is somehow hard for us to know rather is the clothes fit us the best as there will not be a chance to test it out in the “fitting room” as usual during shopping physically in ready store. So my idea is a way that people can “physically” test their clothes through their phones to see the visual. So, the way that it functions is by typing in the measurement of our body parts and scan image of the clothes that we would like to purchase, then placing the phone at the person. It's a way that makes the customer know whether is it suitable for them but at the same time it creates a fun and enjoyable time for them to purchase items they like in without leaving their house.

Third Idea:

Topic: Anatomy learning

Rationale:

In this century, as we know there still have some textbooks that remain to have wordy content and fewer images, but even if there are included images it is hard for us to imagine fully the process of that particular topic. Therefore as my idea is an interactive learning way for students to know better the process of that topic, like how the muscle tissue looks under the skin, how the engine of a car runs while driving, or even how the cloud form etc. So, it will make a more likely way to transform plain and boring text into an interesting method for learning. The way that I imagine it is by scanning the image in the textbook, a 3d image will flood up and it will show the information of that image. For example, if is a picture about a bird, it will showcase the basic information of the bird then there will be buttons that show the muscle tissues under the feathers of the bird, as well as the muscle tissues, the skeleton of the bird.

Forth Idea:
